I have the Extra LED model, 7 pods, so I can grow either the heirloom or the mega variety. I see the heirloom has three seeded pods, and four spacers, the Mega has 2 pods and 5 spacers, but grows taller (requires the additional height provided by the Extra model Aerogrow).
My questions then are: what size are the tomatoes produced by each variety; which variety produces more tomatoes; and which variety actually tastes better?
I have the Extra also and I am growing the heirloom cherry tomatoes on day 81 these are doing fantastic! I have already had 3 and there are at least 10 in the advanced stage of ripening. I actually found this forum by looking for the name of these heirloom seeds as I think they are perfect for the aerogarden. I will guess I have about 50 to 60 tomatoes at various stages of ripening .
